Thanks to friend Jason, I have always followed Al (and Dr. Demento on-and-off). Al put on one of the best shows I have ever seen a few years back at the Merrilville Star Plaza Theatre. His new album “Straight Outta Lynwood” proves to be another example of fine song writing and excellent parody.
Here is the opening track from the album “White and Nerdy”… a real show stopper! Al is a great Law preacher, he always nails me, especially the line about knowing “Javascript and Klingon.” Ouch!

Wow! That kind of hits home with the question of what is truly important.
Odd that Weird Al isn’t known for his original songs. I always found them to be poignant. I’m not sure if this one is a parity (I’m so down with the pop music, don’tchya know?).
