It’s a boy!
It’s a Boy! Luke William Gillespie was born at 6:26 a.m. on Friday, February 10th, 2006. He is 7 lbs. 12 oz. His head is 13.5” diameter. He is 20.5” long. This makes him smaller that the rest. Midwife Linda calls him our peanut. It wasn’t as difficult a labor (once it started.) Anne hardly had to push; the contractions did most of the work. It probably aided by the smaller head. We used the birthing stool, which helped Anne. She had the urge to squat the whole labor. The stool lets her squat without having to use her legs.
Luke is nursing well. He also is looking for his thumb. We know why he had his hands down by his head so much!
Luke did not break the seminary streak of boy births.
Praise the Lord for the new addition!
p.s. We like Luke. William is a family name. Anne’s dad, grandfather (and great aunt and uncle) were all William. My uncle, grandfather and great grandfather were all William too.
