You heard it from the horse’s mouth
In the interest of all, I felt it would be appropriate to inform you of a major decision I (and Anne) have made. I have decided to begin the application process for Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, entering as a M.Div. The obvious end result being that of ordination as a pastor. This has come after a month or so of serious prayerful consideration and years of less active consideration.
This decision to pursue what I believe is a call to serve in ministry came through many doors being opened including the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart through the Word and the active example of my Pastor, church, and three excellent Vicars. The doors which I believe are too many to name in detail but include those already mentioned, a desire to be a more active part of our faith, serving a greater good, discontinuing promoting a culture of materialism (my current employment), a general change of job, employer who shares Christian values, morals, and ideals, living in a more non-Urban environment, have a greater role in the future of the church, stop pursuing hobbies and jobs for purely selfish motives, return to a career of learning, allow God to use my talents and abilities as he sees fit, pursuing the best use of my time, talents, and treasures, the desire for a vocation instead of a “job”, and much more.
